On April 1, a training camp began in the Almaty Region (based at the Almaty Olympic Training Center) in preparation for the XXVI Asian Championship and the VI Asian U18 Athletics Championship.

Twenty athletes from the Astana Olympic Training Center are taking part in the camp.
