WITH FAITH IN HER HEART AND VICTORY IN HER MIND: THE INSPIRING STORY OF DINARA

24.04.2025

Since 2022, Dinara Kopzhasarova has been an athlete of the Astana Olympic Training Center. Her passion for cycling began in early childhood. At the age of ten, while walking with her mother, she saw an announcement about a cycling club recruiting children. From that moment on, the sport became an integral part of her life.

Dinara admits that the most difficult part of being an athlete is being away from her loved ones. However, she says that coming home with a victory and sharing that success with her family is even more meaningful.

Before every competition, Dinara carefully warms up, puts on her "lucky" uniform, and entrusts everything to the Almighty with faith in her heart.

“My biggest achievement is winning first place at the Asian Championship. Wearing the winner’s jersey was my childhood dream, and at that competition, I made it come true. Another very important result for me was at the World Championship — sixth place. Two weeks before the race, I fell, got injured, and had my arm put in a cast. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to compete. But I pulled myself together, overcame my fear, and eventually finished sixth,” shares Dinara Kopzhasarova.

Her coaches — Elena Vladimirovna and Svetlana Alekseyevna — play a vital role in Dinara’s athletic career. To her, they are not only mentors but also reliable supporters who guide and inspire her during tough times. They always remind her that every challenge leads to a result, and every effort brings a victory.

“My biggest support system is my family, my loved ones, and the girls on the team. We're not just teammates — we've become close friends who are always there for each other,” says Dinara.

Currently, the athlete is actively preparing for the national championships in Kazakhstan. However, her main goal is to reach the international level. Dinara is striving for a win at the World Championship and is training hard with her sights set on the Olympic Games.
