Olympic Training Center - the city's fight against corruption
The fight against corruption has intensified in our country. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev himself focuses on this issue and defines specific tasks. For example, recently at the meeting of the National Assembly it was noted that the fight against corruption is actively going on.
"This is a very topical issue for our country. Kazakhstan has made significant progress in the main indicators of the fight against corruption. This is how international rating agencies assess it. But do not calm down. Unfortunately, corruption has taken root in the minds of people and has become a habit. This is true, albeit bitter" , the President said. In this regard, he instructed to carry out appropriate explanatory work and put up a barrier.
In order to avoid and prevent the above gaps, comprehensive measures have been taken in our institution. The Nur-Sultan Olympic Training Center has switched to the format of a modern village. That is, the fare is sent to the service provider, and not to the account of the athlete and coach. Public procurement events at the center are open and public. Relevant information can be found on our website. In addition, new specialists are hired only on a competitive basis. Data on this will also be published on the website of our center and the Committee for Physical Education and Sports.
In order to eradicate corruption, a special information corner and a box for citizens' complaints were created. Videos about corruption and its consequences will be shown on giant screens near the Saryarka sports complex. These works are carried out jointly with the Anti-Corruption Agency in the capital. Specialists of this Agency will meet with the staff of our institution and hold a special meeting.
The head of state stressed that if we solve the problem completely, corrupt officials will continue to leave. “Well, society, especially the youth, will look down on a true worker. This is a very dangerous process,” he said. Therefore, the fight against corruption is a common task for everyone.
