On July 17, 2025, the Asian Triathlon Cup — an international sports competition — kicked off in the city of Kampar, Malaysia. The tournament will run until July 20.

A total of 81 athletes from 16 countries are taking part in the event. All of them will compete for victory. Kazakhstan is represented by a team of athletes from the Olympic Training Center “Astana,” led by head coach Murat Aubakirov.
