Skeet shooting is a sport that combines the elements of precision, concentration and reaction time. The history of skeet shooting dates back to the end of the 19th century, when the sport began to gain popularity in Europe and North America.

Skeet shooting originally developed as a hunting practice where hunters practiced shooting live pigeons. However, in 1900, at the second Summer Olympic Games in Paris, skeet shooting was first introduced as an official sport, and since then its popularity has only grown. In 1921, the International Shooting Federation (ISSF) was founded to regulate and standardize the rules of skeet shooting competitions.

Skeet shooting competitions are divided into several disciplines, including trap, skeet and double trap, each requiring specific skills and strategies. A trap, for example, involves shooting at targets thrown from one or more bunkers, whereas in a skete the targets are thrown from two towers at different angles.

Today, skeet shooting is a popular and respected sport on the international stage. Skeet shooting competitions are held as part of the Olympic Games, World Championships and World Cups, bringing together the best shooters from all over the world. Kazakhstan is no exception: the country is developing training programs for shooters in order to adequately represent the country at international competitions.

From May 16 to May 30 of this year, a training camp (TC) on special physical training (SPP) and general physical training (GPP) is taking place in Almaty before the World Cup in skeet shooting. 19 athletes and one senior coach take part in the training center. Participants of the training camp include: Efremov Yuri, Martinkevich Maria, Asadi Anifa, Zaytsev Arthur, Baizhanuly Madikhan, Basharova Lidiya, Nasyrova Rinata, Enikeev Ratmir, Gorkusha Artem, Shapko Maxim, Sementsov Semyon, Dzhesakova Dinara, Dzhesakova Diana, Shantekova Leila, Rumyantseva Maria, Chikulaev Nikita, Shek Evelina, Mysyr Nuray, Adil Rayyan and Evgeniy Piskun - senior coach.

This camp is aimed at preparing athletes for important international competitions, providing them with the necessary physical and tactical skills for successful performance at the World Cup.
