PREVENTIVE TALK ON THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF BAD HABITS AMONG ATHLETES

Today, a preventive talk was held at the Saryarka Velodrome, focusing on the harmful effects of drug use, tobacco smoking, and alcohol consumption. The event was aimed at fostering a conscious and responsible attitude among athletes toward their health and sporting careers.

The issue of harmful habits was addressed from a psychological perspective. Center psychologist Aliya Askarovna Sharipova provided a detailed explanation of the mechanisms behind the formation of addictions, the causes of psychological dependence, and the consequences they may have on both personal life and professional sport. Particular attention was paid to prevention issues and methods of overcoming harmful habits.

Physician Erlan Alipzhanovich Namazov complemented the presentation by highlighting the principles of a healthy lifestyle, the impact of harmful substances on an athlete’s body, and the importance of maintaining physical and mental health in order to achieve high sporting results.

The discussion contributed to raising participants’ awareness, strengthening their understanding of the value of health, and reinforcing a sense of responsibility for their own future.
