The path of an athlete: Islam Satpayev

Islam Satpayev was born on September 21, 1998 in Almaty. He began his sports career as a child, in the 7th grade. The future prize-winner of international competitions began training with his first coach, Valentina Vasilyevna Deriglazova. The Honored Trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan trained and educated Islam in a children's sports school for 5 years. After this, Islam Satpayev was transferred to the Specialized School of Higher Sports Excellence and continued to train with the Honored Trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gennady Romanovich Nasonov, with whom he works to this day.

In 2023, Islam became a silver medalist at the World Cup in Jakarta, and at the Asian Games in Hangzhou he won a bronze medal. Islam Satpayev became one of the first to secure a ticket to the Olympic Games in Paris. At the 53rd World Shooting Championships, which took place in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, last year, the Kazakh athlete made it to the finals of the 10-meter air rifle competition, where he took 4th place, scoring 206.5 points.

Islam Satpayev showed interest in shooting from childhood, and his persistence in training led to numerous victories in various competitions. Between 2019 and 2023, he participated in many national and international tournaments, demonstrating a high level of skill and determination. His results on the international stage strengthened Islam and his coaches' confidence in his potential.

Today, Islam continues to train hard in preparation for the Olympic Games in Paris. His achievements serve as an inspiration for young athletes in Kazakhstan, showing that through hard work and perseverance one can achieve great heights in sports. Islam strives for new victories and hopes to bring home an Olympic medal, which will be the crown of his sports career.
